Dealer told me it is from Jan 07 Models
I noticed when looking on the German websites last month that they had two diesel versions one with and one without.
Also if you look at last months Price List and the current one on the UK web site the diesel emissions are reduced slightly.

It isn't even listed as an option in the brochure and my car was built around a month or 2 ago, so I guess it won't be on mine. Anyway of telling, by looking or from the chassis number etc.? (I collect on Thursday and don't want to sound daft at the dealer's)

It has met Euro IV from the start and to meet this it must have the particulate filter to bring soot down to negligible levels.
This is in the UK. Other areas may differ.

I have comparatively priced the car to those in Ireland where I spend half my time. The DPF is a euro 1500 option there (so of course noone selects it). That's what import/registration taxes get you. Lower spec cars and more pollution.

I would want whatever. i have had enough black smutty cars in the past. Nothing is worse on your clothes. It makes the back of your car a no go area and the clouds of black when you get to clear the traffic yuck!
I am glad thats all behind me now (oh look another pun) i am really enjoying my lovely smooth quiet clean powerful Q7. You could stand right at the tail pipe and hold your hand there and smell nothing!

You wouldn't happen to know Mike Walsh would you? He spends most of his time pounding UK roads, covering about 50,000 miles per year. Only recently he changed his BMW530D for the latest twin turbo 535D. I believe he buys his cars in the UK. Why don't you?
