looks like in central New York , Syracuse area we're paying $3.57 for Premium and $3.64 for diesel... http://www.syracusegasprices.com/index.aspx?fuel=D

Just noticed at lunch today that Diesel is up to $4.14/gallon in Seattle.

why the hell is Diesel a lot higher than Gas now? even with higher MPG, maybe we should have gotten Gas instead of TDI...

It seems it depends a lot on where you live. Here in Chicago-land, diesel was only 2 cents higher than premium today ($3.77/gal for premium and $3.79 for diesel). A while back, it was 12 cents cheaper. Still no complaints here.
While filling up tonight, a lady with a VW rabbit TDI was filling up next to me. She was a real believer...she is getting 46 mpg on a regular basis. No hybrid in her future....

Update... Redmond,WA... local stations are now up to $4.29 for Diesel.

saw a station today where diesel was .65 higher than premium!!!! thats insane, even by PA standards. They tax the crap out of diesel in PA
