Hello I've been trying to find out if the Q7 have an option for second row dvd players?

No, there is no option for an integrated built in DVD or entertainment option. I was initially surprised too, but the more I thought about it, the rear entertainment system is going the way of the optical disc itself - ancient technology.

My kids never want to watch the same show anyway, and when we had a single DVD player for entertainment in the car, there was non-stop disagreement.

The plan on the Q7 for me is to use the built in WiFi, with both kids each now have an iPad passed down from me (benefit of dad getting each new iPad). With this they will be able to stream from Netflix, Vudu, or Playon (gets Hulu and Amazon), plus have a game system, web browsing, and ability to get homework done.

I calculated that even if I pay for the Audi Connect internet for WiFi access over 5 years, I am still paying less than a rear entertainment system would have cost and getting a more modern way for entertainment.

If they both do want to watch the same thing, there is iPad mounts that I have looked into and the audio can stream to the MMI via bluetooth.

I was very surprised when I got my Q7 in 06/2006 (before the audi connect-wifi/iPad era)that Audi did not offer it and it was not pre-wired for it. I did install two vizualogic headrest DVD players ( http://vizualogic.com/ ) and connected it to the audi MMI bose through a dension GW500.

But I agree, now I would go for the audi connect wifi and bluetooth audio using an iPad.

in the UK there is.

you can get dvd players in the rear of the front seats for £4,500 extra or two mounted dvd players on the backs of the front seats for £1,500.

the more expensive option is cleaner and better look, but you could pick up an after market kit for a £1,000 easy.

seems a waste fo money for me.

however, i do have the two rear mounted screens which were already spec'd on the car when i bought it.
