When I get mine, I'll be towing my caravan (1500Kg)... The Q7 weighs 2350Kg, is there a problem ?

4900 Lbs .. Searay 240 Select Sundeck. Q7 handles it very well and the 4.2 does not break a sweat

Default 996 on a Trailex open trailer and an 7x14 enclosed trailer for motocross.

Not at the same time of course. Both total about 3,500 loaded.

The rear cam is perfect for ligning-up the hitch and I love how the air suspension balances out the truck.

Default Don't take it to the dealer to install an electric brake controller

Just towed my track car on an open trailer (4500 lbs with all my tools) last week. No sweat. Wired the electic brake controller myself and did the install in about 45 minutes. This car won't take a Tekonsha Prodigy though (design conflict with Q7/Touareg/Cayenne per Tekonsha) so I had to use the Tekonsha Primus-which now has $20 rebate and is on ebay for under $70). I have the TSB regarding the EBC install if anyone is interested. Anyone can install it easily by cutting the Audi adapter off and crimping the EBC wires directly to the wires. Also, the TSB says the wiring in the back compartment will need to be connected because the 2 plugs come unplugged from the factory. When I opened the compartment, mine were already connected.

Audi wanted between $150 and $200 for the install labor and another $60 for parts(adapters/connectors. They also had no idea what an EBC was when I first inquired. I paid $2 for connectors at HD and installed it easily, and I'm no electrician.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TEKONSHA-PRIMUS-Digital-Brake-Control-New-in-Box_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33570QQihZ006QQitem Z160123157773QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TEKONSHA-PRIMUS-Digital-Brake-Control-
