Driver Door Won't Unlock

The driver door on my Q7 will only open from the inside. Just a slight inconvenience! I don't know if this is just a coincidence but the car was in for the rear hatch recall yesterday which should have been just a software update. It seems like a cable came loose or something? The dealer claims they had no reason to open the door panel. Any ideas?

Mine had the sofware update today. Apparently it had three software updates which took the best part of a couple of hours to upload.
Not had that problem but there is an option on the mmi as to which doors unlock on the remote. I didn't think you could opt for all doors except the drivers door but perhaps you should check.

I'm really doubting it had anything to do with the software update since even when the passenger presses the unlock button it will only open by pulling the inside driver door lever. It seems that maybe a cable came loose or something. I thought for sure by posting here that someone else would've had the same issue come up??
