Default Driver's Seat Problem

I'm having a problem in my 2007 Q7 4.2 with my driver's seat. I have the seat memory option. Currently the driver's seat will on tilt forward so far, however not all the way. I initially thought the switch and/or the motor was too blame. Seat will tilt all the way back and will move forward to a point but not all the way. This rules out both. Is there any way to reset the seat? Thanks.

This is the crazy problem that we have. A lot of times to reset something we disconnect the battery by reseting the default memory. Since it is under the seat to much work to do the job.

Has this been proven to work for this specific problem or is it just something to try?

No it has not being proven for the Q7, but for American cars it is the 1st thing we do. Disconnect both +/- wait about 10-15 min. then toubleshoot from there.

That might work for american cars, however I don't want to have to get into a steering angle calibration debacle with this thing because it lost all of it's settings.

You can disconnect the battery by removing the covers in front of the seat and unbolting the ground. 5 mins max!

I could not find G230, but I think I have everything to replace your seat angle adjustment comp.
You will have to removed the driver seat which it is under the seat next to the seat memory comp.
attachments below should help you plus a overview of every seat adjustment comp.

Hope this helps

Thanks a ton! I had most of that from er-win... Interesting issue... Cleared codes and it never came back. Seat still won't go all the way forward!

So do you think the angle adjustment is bad?
I guess the final troubleshooting will be to remove the plug and put power to the motor and see if it moves the full tilt angle.
