I just got through swapping out the DRL's on my 07. I found the thread on swapping the headlight bulbs and tried to remove the light assembly in vain. I still want to know how to get the connector off the headlight assembly in case I need to do this in the future, but for those who only need to get to the DRL bulbs - all you need to do is open the round screw off access port on the inside of the the assembly. You can see the drl socket from this port and unscrew it with a little dexterity. The bulbs are easy from there. Much faster than taking the whole assembly out as well.

at the moment i have the standard halogen DRL's that are in the main headlight cluster - model year is 2008.
so i just want to change them for led ones to get the white light.
just a case of direct bulb replacement.
i'm not doing the DRL's like the new model year or strip DRL's
i need to search the net for the best ones.

I went ahead and ordered the Solaris bulbs to get whiter light. Looks great. Huge change from the stock dim yellow looking bulbs. At $20/pair- I highly recommend them. They are just regular bulbs with silver/blue coatings to change the lights appearance. Supposedly have very long life filaments as well(not that the stock bulbs 4.5 year lifespan was bad...).

Update. Just noticed one of the Solaris bulbs I installed in September is already burned out. Pretty crappy product. I am back to the OEM yellowish bulbs...
