Default DWS, Scorpion or Yoko?

new Q7 owner here. not new to Audi, previous A4, allroad, and a6, so familiar with the tire dilema. Will run snows for winter, but need to buy tires for spring and summer. Figured I would run all season. 2012 Sline with 20's. I like the feel of the scorpion asymetric that it came with, but they are just about spent and thinking I could do better. Searched the tire threads, but still not sure. Was thinking Conti DWS, Yokohama, or just stick with the Pirelli. Wondering if this board has a preference. Thanks in advance for your input.

Similar set of previous cars here... allroad, S4 avant, S6. I had a set of Conti DWS on my 2008 S6 and loved them. If I decide to go with an all-season setup on the Q7 I'll probably look at them first.

I've had the oem Conti 4x4 and the Yoko Spec-X currently. Conti's wore out around 19k and the Spec-x are pretty much done now @ 27k. I liked the Yokos, other than the fact that they have very soft sidewalls which don't provide any rim protection. I will be switching to the DWS, in possibly a wider 295/40/20 size to provide a bit more rim protection.

What about Pirelli Scorpion Verde? They have great reviews and they are almost an inch wider then the OEM Pirelli Scorpion Zero in 275/45/20 9.2 for the Zero and 10.0 on the Verde. I think they are the OEM tire on the Porsche.

Intersting, thx. I thought I read that the DWS had the soft side wall. Sounds like the parada is softer?

I saw those, but no one seems to mention them as a viable tire - wasn't sure why....

Default anyone use the 20" DWS?

I haven't yet gotten new tires yet, but I've heard that the DWS sidewall is indeed too soft for the heavy Q7. I'll probably go with the Pirelli Verde. Anyone tried out the DWS on their Q7?

I have DWS on my MY 11, and it's way better than stock Pirelli Asymmetrico it came with. Can't say anything about Verde, but I wouldn't go back to Pirelli after I had to replace them with just 17K miles.
