Default Emissions Service Action 28F2/J1

Anyone get this letter from Audi? It is for a voluntary replacement of the ignition coil packs. It triggers a MIL light and can cause inappropriate emissions and/or poor performance.

I noticed some roughness in the idle on my 3.6 lately and was contemplating on bringing it in to get checked.

I got this letter for my A4, but not for my Q7 or A3 though I'm assuming that it's only a matter of time. I had been carrying spare coilpacks in my cars, just in case, though (I'm a bit of a nut job), since it takes less than 5 minutes to swap one out...

I got the same letter...already had one replaced at the beginning of the summer...CEL on constant and Q had no low end and idled like a big block with a lopey cam.

Too bad the lopey idle didn't come with low end torque - I would like to get that problem!

Ditto what RAD2 said. No issues, but got the letter. Going in for 35K service anyway, so it makes sense to get it done.

Got the letter too - no issues so I'm not in a hurry to go but will try to get it done next service.

Just made my appointment for 35K service and the advisor stated there are two letters being sent. One is the actual campaign notification letter (being sent to oldest models first) and the other - which I received - is a letter that asks you to wait for the official campaign letter unless you are specifically having issues.

Best to check which you have before calling for appointment.

My dealer was pretty firm that you need to wait for the actual campaign letter. Almost every Audi made has to have this changed.

Yep - Dealer here indicated a limited amount of parts. Considering they are doing many models, that would seem to make sense.
