interesting the Audi mud flaps didn't fit well.
I was holding out for some but since those knock offs from Hong Kong are about 100+ bucks cheaper I may give them a try since they may not fit any worse than the OEM stuff

the ebay knockoffs? they even have audi part no's and the seller claimed he thought they were authentic OEM Audi but he had to check on that. Still waiting for his response from last year.... No way I am spending $300 for authentic Audi mudflaps though.

I just got a set of Mud Flaps in the mail. I got them from Ebay the guy is in Hong Kong here is the link. They have the OEM part numbers in the back but I think they are a knock off from the OEM. Tomorrow I will try them and report back with some pictures.

The tips do get dirty
I clean mine with simple old "Bon Ami"
I have also used brake cleaner in the past which works extremely well as most deposits are carbon based, just use in a ventilated area.
Worst case scenario, if they get so bad and discolored you can also try painting them with a product from Rustoleum. Just remove the whole tip section of exhasut and spray/paint a section you won't see and let it dry so you can see what it looks like before deciding if you like it for the visible section. A nice dark metallic "gunmetal" finish would be a nice alternative to chrome and a finish you see occassional on some OEM tips
