With electrical took about 6 Hours, everthing in the Audi kit is pictured. Got it from genuineaudiparts.com for $705.

SO then are you just needing to recode it then?

Have a new trailer I am looking to add a hitch for but at the moment I am thinking of converting the trailer lights to LED but that sounds like it adds another whole slew of issues perhaps.

Local hitch place that just rewired our other SUV with a brake controller and tranny cooler said they could add an aftermarket hitch, 7 pin wiring for under $500.... Not sure if that is a good idea or not.

don't go LEDs. Audi computer doesn't work with LEDs. I had to change it back to the normal style.

good to know, on my trailer I am thinking of changing just the brake lights to LED's since they are brighter, wonder if that will still screw with things.
Trailer place said these retro kits have the onboard capacitors etc to compensate the lower draw.
