Headlight Error Message

I have suddenly started getting an error message in the information center between the speedo & tach. It says "Headlight range control: Headlamp converter active. Range reduced". It appears every time right after startup - day or night & goes away after a few seconds.
The dealer diagnosed it as there was actually no fault - but the headlight switch was lying to the computer telling it there was a problem. They replaced the switch but it didn't make the error message stop. Now the dealer says they don't know what is causing it and they have to consult Audi.
Any suggestions????

Thanks for the link. All my lights work fine & the only error message I get is the one I mentioned - no "xx bulb out" or anything else. I do kind of feel that maybe the low beams are not projecting out as far as they should, but I'm not real sure what they're supposed to since this is my first Audi & it's only a couple of months old.
One person in the other thread made an interesting observation about a programming glitch. I don't know how it could have happened on mine since nothing has been replaced but computers have been known to hiccup. I'll mention this to my service adviser.

Force-1.... Sorry, that was you that had the same problem in the previous thread & I didn't give you the credit.
Guess I should read the left side & not just the body of the post.
Thanks again.

FWIW - After replacing the headlight switch didn't work, I e-mailed the link Force-1 provided to my service adviser. They used it to do some more diagnosing & found that the computer thought it was riding around in a right hand drive car - why that made a difference, I don't know.
Anyway, after they reflashed everything - no more error message, & it may be my imagination but my low beam headlights seem to project better.
