Default No it doesn't because

Audi misunderstand the concept. Its no good having the car careering down a slope at an ever increasing speed. How is one to retain control considering that there is next to no engine braking due to a relitively high first gear compared to cars with two speed tranfer boxes? Of course the HDC should do this. There is little likelyhood of a wheel slipping on this car, again due to lack of engine braking. If the brakes are used manually, yes, but the abs works then anyway. Nobody does it better than Land/Range Rover, but they are proper off-roaders.
I don't mind the lack of proper HDC but Audi should not pretend that the car is something its not and should not boast of a feature that is, at best and being charitable, inferior to that offered by rivals.

Default re:

it seemed like a test drive put together by the dealer or audi with instructors, also if you look at the wheels on the right side they look like they are spining so the brakes are not applied.anyone that has better video of the HDC on audi please post.

Default Trust me, the Q7 is no better when driven in soft sand.

Took our twin girls to the beach to play in the sand and collect shells on Friday in our new LR3. As the video shows, Land Rover builds a "proper offroad vehicle". I took it through deep soft sand and up steep sand hills where I would not have even tried to take our Q7. As much as I miss our Q7 for how it drove on the road, the LR3 is a better vehicle for us.
