Default The hill hold feature is great..

hadn't really noticed it until I was on some very steep hill in downtown Seattle and noticed when I took my foot off the brake that the Q7 didn't roll backward.

Default Always active. Touareg?

it automatically holds the car for two seconds after you lift off the brakes. Live or park on a steep hill and you will get real used to having it.
MarkItZero , Does your T-reg have it?

The flip side.
I tried to race a guy off the light once by holding braked with left foot and starting to lift the revs for faster start but Audi have some program (maybe the same one) running to prevent this kind of sport. My car died back to idle just as the lights changed and now the other guy thinks Q7s are a pile of crap. Its my first automatic car since 1986. I am sure the US users here know how to do it best.

Manu/1st and ESP Off your only option in that case, but that Fiat Panda may still have won!
