Default I found my Q7 S-Line

I will purchase my S-line tomorrow. No comparison to the X5 4.8. Every option but technology which gives me the S-Line steering wheel with paddle. Great car which I can't wait to have in my garage.

Default Shift paddles

If you add the Tech package does that delete the paddle shifters? And what about the heat in the steering wheel with either of those.

Default Tech Package Deletes the Three Spoke

When you add the Tech package it deleted the three spoke S-Line steering wheel with Paddle.

Default Re: Tech Package Deletes the Three Spoke

Is this true even for the 4.2P? We have a 4.2P S-line and have paddles/3 spoke wheel. Has every option (believe tech came as standard). Ours is a 2007. Did this change for 2008?

Default Tech Package

I was curious too. The 4.2 comes standard with the Advanced Key and Nav system with DVD. If you add the Tech Package to that you get Side Assist, Lane Assist, and the one that messes with it puts the 4 spoke wheel back-Voice Control System. VCS works with the 'PTT' push to talk button on the MultiFunction 4 spoke wheel. This wheel also has tiptronic buttons I think, but not paddles behind the wheel.

Of course, I don't own one yet, so if some could post pics of their various steering wheels, great.

Default If the Q7 has the Tech package it will loose the Shift paddles.

For 2008, the tech package includes the new Lane Assist.
Camera located above the rear view mirror that looks forward and if you go off your lane, the steering wheel will vibrate (you can control the power of the vibration).
Unfortunately it is only available with a 4 spoke steering wheel, that does not come with shift paddles.
