I have a 2008 q7 that i bought used and its missing the cable for the IPOD hookup to the audio interface. I have searched on line and for some reason i keep finding ones that say 2009 and newer models. Is there a difference? I dont want to spend the money and get the wrong one. ALso in the manual it says you can only hookup three models of the ipods, 4gig, 5 gig nano and something else i think it said but i have the 160 gig is it not going to work.

i didn't know these were so popular... after posting that message i received a great deal of PMs about the cables... these are the ones i have:
4F0.051.510.K > 3 Cables
4F0.051.510.E > 2 Cables
i am not sure this is correct... etka seems to state otherwise as do the dates on the cables.
K = 2009+ A4/S4/Q5/Q7
E = Everything before 2009
^ According to ETKA but please verify with your own parts dept or sources.
4F0.051.510.K > 3 Cables
4F0.051.510.E > 2 Cables
K = 2009+ A4/S4/Q5/Q7
E = Everything before 2009

gotcha... vag likes to complicate things... not sure why... bmw's nomenclature and p/n convention is much simpler... the worst is with trim pieces for vag cars... you can look up a floor mat for a touareg and there were will be like 4 or 5 different p/n for a black for mat based on the year and the way they attach despite all being anthracite/black and other issues like that... decade and half playing with german cars and still cant figure this stuff out... a while back i had an issue with a rear sway bar that i sold to someone and turns out there are about 6 different sway bars for the same car based on the options and wheel sizes etc. fortunately the buyer understood and we both learned a valuable lesson... TRIPLE CHECK BEFORE BUYING!

I ordered one from amazon Ten dollars free shipping. The seller stated it only works with 2009 and older audi models and they were right. Got it saturday and works awesome. Reads my wifes 160gig IPOD perfect.

We offer the OEM cables at very competitive prices, always new, in the original packaging. We have a very helpful chart right HERE to help you decide which one is right for your vehicle. We understand there are "cheaper" options out there, on Ebay for example, but with us you know you are getting a brand new, OEM Audi part, every time, with no funny business.
