Default Leather seats

I LOVE my 2008 q7, coming up on a year of loving it. However... I gave up my AllRoad for it. The seats in that were perfect, leather was tough and cool looking.

My friend's Honda Pilot has better seats than the Q7. $60k for a car should get one nice, thick, leather seats. My rear seats have pulled out from the plastic clips for the headrest, SO PISSED.

Anyone else have standard leather seat issues?

Yes, I have cracking on the driver's front left bolster. I brought this up to the dealer and was told it was not covered under the warranty.

Do your cars sit outside or are they garaged?

Mine sits outside and it scares me to even think about it....
The q7 is an awesome car to drive but these little cracking/rattling problems can make it less enjoyable.

My '07 Q7 has the stone leather seats and had blue jeans stain the drivers seat blue with just normal driving. It would not come out. The leather was replaced under warranty without any problem.

I noticed the exact same problem this weekend. This is most disappointing as I clean and condition the leather regularly.

Like the OP, I have an allroad and the leather in it looks so much better than the Q7. I guess the intervening 6 years between model years so the cost cutting that the auto manufacturers have implemented.

Well Audi only covers the trim for 12months and 12,000miles.

They will try to deny any trim related claims after that

This all bad news to me... my 5th audi in 10 years... I will go BEZERK on the dealer if this leather cracks while the car is under warranty. Worse part is, its the most expensive Audi I've ever bought.

I too clean and condition the seats regularly. Maybe time to use a seat cover... ugh.

Anyone ever post an Allroad seat retrofit in a Q7?

Default Seat bolsters will be replaced...

We had our Q7 and our A3 seat bolster crack and the dealership replaced both no questions asked. The A3 we had for 3 years so the 12 month deal does not apply it is a known problem. Now, if it has obvious signs of abuse no they will not repair.
