Default LED lights on a trailer/brake light failure alarm

Has anyone experienced LED lights on a trailer with a low level slow blinking EVEN WITH the Q7 headlight switch in the OFF position? The brake light failure alarm also comes up very shortly after the trailer harness connection is made and the key switch is turned on.

Default Yeah, LED's are a problem.

I think I read about this in the manual and that Audi is working on the issue.

Default it's not really an Audi problem

the problem is the reduced draw that LEDs have over a standard bulb. The draw is low enough that the system can't sense it and figures the bulb is bad. I would try and find a device that increases the perceived load of the LED lights (I've seen them before) on the actual trailer instead of trying to modify the Audi's setup.

Default Try your Audi dealer or UHaul for the part

I think my local Audi dealer sells the part for around $35.

Where is your local Audi Dealer, the one in Naperville, Illinois doesn't know anything about the situation. What is the 'part' that they sell??

UHaul lists it as part #13500 "LED Light Trailer Module". But any Audi or even Volkswagen dealer should be able to get you the part. It is actually a Volkswagen part (I think it starts with 8VW???).
