light bulb warning symbol but all lights seem fine?

2007 q7 picked up yesterday... bulb warning symbol came on last night when had full headlights on after a short drive. cannot for the life of me determine what is out for all look good. without the lighting on have not noticed this symbol come on this morning at all. would vag com tell you which light may be causing this warning? symbol shows yellow bulb then yellow bulb with brackets then back to yellow bulb ? anyone have an idea how to hunt this one down or have the same experience ?

Have you got the correct bulbs? Perhaps someone replaced them with a different type that draws more or less current resulting in a bulb fail warning. It will also generate codes every time you switch them on.
Solution: refit the OE bulbs and clear codes. Or, complete the system changeover by replacing headlamp contol modules etc. and reprogrammming VCDS.

ok so this weekend i actually saw that the brake light is out on the drivers side ... intermitantly though for on sunday it was fine ! shall i just go in there and replace bulb or check connection before it fails completely? any trick to getting into it? thx in adavance for any advice !

no issues getting into it LOL so simple actually . anyways bottom of the bulb contact looks damaged.. melted in a weird way to describe it. i scatched it up and put it back in and all good now. i will be replacing with an original bulb in the near future.
