Drove a 2010 Q7 a few days ago (I haven't been able to find a TDI to drive, so I drove a gas model). I liked it and the dealer has one (TDI) coming in soon that fits my requirements plus some packages I would not have ordered. Really love that panoramic sun roof!! Was also able to fit my two dog crates so that was the real requirement that had to be met - along with also being able to fit two more dogs outside of the crates.
The dealer is only offering $1000 off MSRP though, has this been others experience as well? I was hoping to get at least $2000 off MSRP - have been researching on sites like edmunds.com and had expected it. However, the TDI supply seems to be very limited, is this what others are observing as well? I even had a hard time finding a dealer near me that had a 2010 Q7 period! I drove 60 miles to find one to see and test drive.
Thanks!

Indeed finding a Q7 is not as easy as it had been prior to the facelift, especially TDI or S-Line. Price-wise however you may be able to push for $2000 off, but this is for SoCal; not sure how it's like in MA. I know of a SoCal dealer offering $4,000 off but b/c they do not have any in stock or in transit (that aren't already sold), you'll have to put in an order and wait. They seem to have the allocations for new factory orders.

I found a black/black fully loaded (premium plus w/panorama) in MD a couple of months ago, and the dealer was willing to sell under $56K.
i used www.truecar.com, and printed the report and showed it to the dealer...

I just got a 2010 TDI Premium Plus, s-line and 21" wheels and got $4K off (2k for audi loyality and 2k for dealer discount). I also was able to get 3.9 for 60 months with audi finance and they gave me an additional 1K (paid for the first month) at signing...nice!
Without taxes and additional fees the sales price was $56,500.
However, the problem now is that there is a backlog for the TDIs as there are none in the pipeline. I had to order mine too but luckly the dealer had an available allocation (see other threads for more) so I was able to get within 3 months. If the dealer has no allocation then you could be waiting a lot longer as it goes into the Audi order queue and will remain there until the dealer gets an allocation. Allocations are given every month.
