Dealer called me this morning. My 2011 white/espresso TDI Q7 will be in the port July 6th for pickup July 12th. She stated that not only am I first 2011 Q7 to be delivered for the dealier, I am probably the first to be delivered nationwide since this is the first of the shipments coming in to the US and I live in CT.

Not jealous cos my 06 EU TDI is still awesome... must be getting near time to remap up to 282hp.

I Should be getting my new Q7 TDI in July. Arrives at the port in San diego July 16 then arrives at the dealer July 22. I have been waiting 6 months for the car ordered a 2010 order was never pulled. Order was pulled as 2011. No idea of the price. Never able to make any changes. Since no one had a clue as to what changes were going to be made. As I understand from the delaer AoA has left many people in the dark regarding this car. I ordered it as a prestige is the Prestiage only coming as an S for 2011.

Sheesh! Car manufacturers! 4 years we begged them to bring in the TDI. Now nothing but TDI so who was right??? We were!
So listen up Audi AG, send the Q5 with TDI. Both TDI engines please as they will both sell.

Another subtle difference with the 2011 Q7 is the fact that the 3.0 TFSI S line/Prestige comes with 20" S line wheels w/ 275/45 all-season tires while the 2011 Q7 TDI Prestige/S line comes with 20" bi-color five double-spoke wheels w/ 275/45 all-season tires.
I hope this helps.

See attached MY 2011 Order Guide & Invoice Pricing. A 2011 Q7 TDI can be ordered as a Prestige package, but if you want the S line as well, the S line interior has to be ordered as an option.

The TDI motor is by far the most popular right now.....Try getting one at the dealer...I do appreciate the fact that Audi is not just pumping these things out by the millions like GMC did when the economy went south with the Yukon...They cut production and kept pricing stable...I feel pretty good about not driving off the lot and losing 50% of what I just paid. The flipside....I have been waiting for ever to get one of these....

I AM jealous... AND feel left out... does nobody like gasoline any more??
I'm now waiting for my GAS powered S-line. So much new tech for me. Never had a Supercharger and never had over 300 horsepower before. (Although, I have a 70's corvette that is close.)
I'm anxious to see the MPG numbers real (my driving) and imagined (audi published).

If my math is correct the 3.0L TFSI with 333 HP appears to be a good buy since it replaces the 4.2L V8 that was basically a wash in price with the 3.0L TDI in 2010. Here is what my numbers came out for the 2011 Q7 comparably equipped:
3.0L, V6, 333 HP
S line Prestige
S line Interior
Towing
Audi Adaptive Air
Heated Rear Seats
Rear Side Airbags
All Weather Mats
----------------
$64,500
$00,875 delivery
---------
$65,375 MSRP
3.0 TDI, 240 HP
Prestige
S line
Towing
Audi Adaptive Air
Heated Rear Seats
Rear Side Airbags
All Weather Mats
----------------
$69,000
$00,875 delivery
---------
$69,875 MSRP
That's a $4,500 difference!
