Just picked up my 2007 Q7 today and I love it. But coming home, I was stopped at both EZ Pass tolls because my pass didnt register with the booth. Some some articles about cars with metallized windshields now? Has anyone else with a Q7 experienced this? Any answers to this issue?

I use a FastLane transponder (used in MA and similar to EZpass) and haven't had any issues

my folk car had that problem, they got the ezpass on the lic plate, not problem

My EZPass is mounted behind the mirror on the passenger side - due to the angle, I don't even see it.

Is the joy of your new Q7 causing you to drive too fast through those lanes?

i have heard of that problem, especially with MB. i haven't had a problem with it in my q though!

Read some boards... apparently, on the new metallic windshields, there are zones where you can read the ez passes. The area by behind the rear view mirror (about 2 inches from the top) worked this morning! I used to leave it on my A4 dash, so when I did the same with the Q7 thats why it wasnt being read.

curious... that's actually where i have my ezpass. i wonder if that zone follows the A21 line?

I have mine next to the rear view mirror on the passenger's side. No problem with it.
