Default No, you must bring it to the dealer. Reference TSB 91-07-16, "Navigation DVD Can't be Ejected"

The have to hook it up to their VAS and perform "Service Work"

From the TSB:

Condition:
"The Navigation DVD can't be ejected. No DTCs are stored in the Navigation module, and the Ejec button is not stuck. When pushing the Eject button, the drive does not sound as if it is trying to eject the DVD."

Technical Background:
"All vehicles equipped with Navigation systems now have the Navigation DVD installed at production. To prevent theft of the DVD during transportation, the Eject function of the Navigation drive is disabled. The Navigation system itself, e.g. route guidance, functions as specified."

Service:
"Use the VAS Tester to enable the Eject button of the Navigation drive."

...

MOST Navigation-equipped vehicles (A6, A8 Audi Q7) do not requires specific selection. Service work is automatically displayed in the Guided Function menu."

Default Your Signature

I see you live around Long Beach, I grew up there, graduated from LBHS and escaped to Baton Rouge. I come back on the weekends to see my parents, amazing that there may be 2 Garnet Red S-lines running around on the coast.

Default Which MMI software your Q7 has?

See if the Navigation software update you get first time you insert version 8, bring anything new, such as 3D (I really doubt), searching options, ...
Thanks

Default I think that you have version 7, not 8....

What's listed in the version in your MMI? This picture is from my Q7 which is running version 7

Default No 3D with Version 8

I just got version 8 today, it did a software update for a minute after I installed it.
so far I didn't notice any differance what so ever in the map details and the 2 years old subdivision across the street still not on the map. (and no 3D).

Quick Reply: Navi DVD won't eject. Any suggestions?
