Hi All,
Just came back from dealer and was quoted $ 1100 for brake pads both rear and front after only changing them last year at 15K now 12K later the car needs them again.
My questions does any one know someone who changes Q brake pads at reasonable recession pricing in the NY/NJ area?
Any feedback is greatly apperciated.
Also dealer told me the drainage holes need to be cleaned out, lots of debris and water can back up and and destroy electronis has anyone heard of this and if so can it be cleaned out by myself?
Thank you

If you are comfortable doing this yourself, here is a nice thread.

Total cost for OEM pads and sensors is ~$300. Most recommend installing new sensors with the pads (only available from dealer from what I've read). This site has front and rear OEM pads for $233:

If you want to get rid of brake dust, many seem happy with the Hawk Ceramic pads. Not sure on price or where to buy, but I can't imagine they are more expensive than OEM.

My plan is to order pads (probably the Hawk ceramics as I am not fond of cleaning the wheels every week to keep them clean and squeek free) and have them installed at an independent shop that specializes in Audi. I figure the whole deal will run $500 to $700. Much cheaper than the dealer.
