I'm not sure i understand your questions but I'll try and answer. As you can see from the title of the thread, I have the 3.0 TFSI S Line Prestige model. So not the TDI clean diesel.

As for the badge removal, I did not remove any badges. The car came exactly as you see in the pictures. Q7 badge on the left side of the tailgate and no badges on the right side. I'm assuming that this is Audi's decision to market the Prestige S Line model with no badge. The black trim and black roof rack and titanium wheels give it away to anyone who knows the 2012 Q7 line. I've had a few people recognize it as the Prestige model in parking lots so far.

Personally, I really liked he way the car looks in black. The black trim gives it a very menacing look and the titanium wheels look great against the black tire and sitting under the entirely black body. The extra tint on the windows adds to the stealth look of the car.

In short, I am loving the style of this car.

I bought the car outright at MSRP. I did not lease.

Hope this answers your questions.

Default de-badge

FYI all the 2012 Q7 except the TDI will only have the Q7 badge no more 3.0TFSI..... I think it looks better w/o the 3.0,

My 2011 S-Line Prestige did not have a 3.0TFSI badge. I added a SC badge.

I agree. I like it better without the 3.0 badge. I'm considering taking the Q7 badge off as well. Has anyone done this and if so, is it easy to do cleanly?

Use dental floss to remove badges. Some goof off, or goo gone will remove any glue residue.

As an aside, if legal, I would tint the front side windows to match the rest of the glass.

Thanks for the advice on removing badges. As for the mismatched tinting, I couldn't agree more. I have looked into it and in California, the front windows can not be tinted more than they already are. I may do it anyway because the staggered tinting bugs me. Thanks

Default Q7 arriving on boat in about 14 days

I have a S Line coming, located in Tampa, FL area. It is on the boat as we speak, should be here Nov. 17. they are going to tint the front windows for me, you know instead of lowering the price on the car, they give that $50 deal, but is worth it. I got lucky, this is probably the last Ibis White S Line you will see, the factory that made the paint was destroyed in the Japan Tsunami. Only comes in the all Black Interior with Chrome accent. Yes Black looks good, but in Florida, white is better in the heat. No other upgrades other then the two S Line Packages.

I will post pics when it comes in. trading in 2006 A6, Black on Black. Got it for a little less than MSRP.

Hopefully not, I have an Ibis White S-Line with an Espresso interior coming late November early December...
