That leather interior is truly beautiful. I think I am going to have to adjust my interior preference from black to espresso. It really is rich and luxurious looking, and definitely more unique than the black that I always tend to pick. Congrats on picking up a truly great looking Q7, I'm hoping to do the same soon, hopefully I can find one as nice as you did.

Reeves Audi, where we got ours, also has a black 08 with brown espresso leather, it also has the $1700 running boards

I say fly down and drive it back up , I did that when I purchased my TT from Texas and drove back to South Florida in 18hrs.... That black one is in really really good condition, and to me the difference between the 3.6 to 4.2 wasn't that big at all... The V8 made a really nice growl but the pickup was a tiny bit faster than the V6

The thought of flying down with the intent to purchase and drive it back to NY has been bouncing around in my head. I agree that in normal driving the 4.2 doesn't have much advantage. My only concern is that I occasionally tow a trailer and am not sure how well the 3.6 would cope with a few thousand extra pounds in tow. Hmmmmm decisions, decisions......
