Hi there- I just traded my 2008 Q7 in a few months ago for an A7 and we are thinking of getting another Q7 .
Does anyone know when a newly designed Q7 is coming out ? I believe 2012 was a facelift correct?
Any links for concepts or details on the NEXT Q7 ?

facelift was done in 2010... new body style i think will be released in summer of 2013... (IIRC) selling point will be that the new one will be 600lbs lighter and from what i have read there will only be two engine choices 3.0t, or 3.0tdi...

wow cool thats good to know. that should be super fast. I have that 3.0t engine right now and its fast ..cant imagine w/ 600lbs less it will be quick!

I was looking last night for pics but couldn't find any.

I've seen some place say new model will be out next summer (2013), but some say this summer (2012) due to refresh of Cayenne and other newly refreshed luxury SUVs.

My wife is choosing between a Q7 S-Line and a Denali Hybrid...she's an old Chevy girl but really likes the Q7. We are going for a test drive this weekend so we'll see what we both think since neither of us has been inside one yet and my Dad just got a new regular Denali which she loved. I was surprised how close in size they are...other than the height. But I too am concerned about a refresh next summer and this may cause us to leans towards the Denali...but who knows.

Anyways, does anyone have any idea why there is shortage of Q7s on the dealer lots? Is it because it's a new model year or is it related to the reported production shortage Audi is having due to increased demand?
