do you have full connectivity with this phone..ie all contacts transfer to MMI etc? And what version of software is the phone running? Looking to update the wifes phone from the N70, which has only partial connectivity. Is the iPhone worth the wait in Australia, or has Nokia got it all over Apple with the new N series coming out soon.

You need to activate 'remove sim access' from the bluetooth menu. Unfortunately your carrier may have disabled this in the firmware even though the option shows. 3 are an offender for this. Avoid nokia

I own an unlocked version of a Nokia N95-1, with firmware 20.something.

I was able to get the contacts transferred, and it even showed the signal strength, etc. Only drawback is that your contacts need to be on the SIM b/c the AUdi BT system bypasses the phone entirely, and just reads the SIM and its contacts. The phone itself just acts like a big antenna.

Try activating "remote SIM mode," if the N70 has it. I know that the n70 uses an older version of S60, so try.


forget the iPhone. Yes, it looks great, and the OS is awesome, but the features suck. I have GPS, Wi-Fi, and a 5 MP camera on my phone, and I don't have to pay a dime in contract fees to At&t. I don't even have a DATA plan, and with the iPhone, you're forced. Actually right now, I'm waiting out for the new Sony Ericcson XPERIA X1, Garmin Nuvifone, and even a Nokia N96 [16gb memory built in]. I might be upgrading sometime, the end of the year. There is a N series Nokia phone that should resemble the iPhone, so i'm waiting for that. Even though, I'm an Apple fanatic, the iPhone never really appealed to me.

I've been told that the new Nokia N95 8Gb does support the phonebook tranfer. I have one that I can test tonight and report back. A friend has already tried his N95 8Gb with the Q7 and reported it to work.

There is a MR12VOLT MOST Bluetooth audio gateway. It is about $120 on ebay and Amazon.
it also does hands free but I disabled this option as I already have the Audi factory module.
