So pretty bummed...reached a deal with the seller at asking price (got her to agree to put on a new set of tires), were in the middle of coordinating the final transaction, and out of nowhere today she decides that she doesn't want to sell it that far below blue book, and says the dealer is willing to offer her more to trade it in, so backs out of the deal. Really? You listed at that price, which I met and you agreed to, and now you decide you want to revalue it cuz some smooth talking dealer salesman convinced you he'd give you a better deal? So frustrating! Glad I drove 2 hours there and back to check it out, payed for a Carfax report, and took time off of work to get funding/paperwork in order, all based on the price she listed it at, just to get shafted. Sorry, just needed to vent. I guess the search continues...

kbb is a crock anyhow... their valuations are so unrealistic it's absurd.
unfortunate situation but this is not uncommon in the world of used cars... better luck next time.

Yeah, I tried to explain that to her, but like most folks, she apparently believes kbb is the bible.

lol... oh well... you find some solace in the fact that she got hosed on the new car purchase if she got kbb on her trade-in.

Wow, really sorry to hear this. I honestly doubt the dealer would offer a trade-in price that high. This seller sounds shady and I'd back off.

Yeah, appreciate it, but really want the s-line, lower miles, and in black or white.

Tall order... stretch your search nation wide and look for an actual Audi dealer. you may pay a drop more than market but you'll get what you want and if something does not check out at least AOA will back you up if you purchased from an Audi dealer.

Ok, so found another strong candidate locally, which is a bit of a unique one. It's a black 07 4.2 Premium w/ Air suspension with 48k miles, however it has a ton of professionally done mods:

facelifted S-line exterior, facelifted LED headlights (European version with the clear corners), facelifted LED turn signals, facelifted LED tails, 23" Agetro M140 forged wheels in matte noir finish, brembo brakes, Dual Bluetooth DVD in the headrests, lowering links, blacked out trim/grille, etc.

Seller is asking $35k firm, and am interested in whether that seems like a good price for an 07 with low miles, given all of the modifications? Sort of a hard one to price.
