I have one of these that I believe is the same or similar.

I had a dvd player and back up camera hooked up to it in my 2007 Q7. Lots of inputs of outputs. I also had it routed to rear DVD screens. I don't need it anymore since it does not work with MMI 3. PM me if you want to buy it.

looks like a reason for the dealer to deny any warranty work related to the MMI
