Default Picked up our 2012 Q7 TDI

Took delivery of our TDI Saturday and received a pleasant surprise. The backup camera was functional. Salesman indicated that most of the new arrivals in the past few weeks have come complete. Ours was an early September production model.

I'll try and post some pics this evening. I've been too busy driving. :-)

Ok, here are a couple of pics I took this evening...

We are loving the color combination of Lava Grey with the Cardamom interior. It's a P+ to which we added the 20" bi-colors, warm/cold/tow packages, rear airbags, and, all weather mats.

Nice color choice. Random quesiton on the interior, how do the black mats look with the cardamom interior? I ordered the TDI in glacier white with cardamom and i assumed it would come with carpet matching mats. Also, what was the advice for breaking in the TDI you received from the dealer? I have read conflicting advice on previous posts. Thanks!

It will come with carpet matching mats, though, those are superfluous when you purchase the all-weather mats. The mats attach to the floor via hard rubber/plastic pegs. The dealer simply replaced the carpet mats and placed them in the back to use as we will. I think the rubber mats look fine with the cardamom. Regardless, the protection they offer is worth it.

With respect to break in procedure; Our dealer told us there is no specific break in process other than not to push it to its limits for the first 2-3K miles. We were careful to ask as we had to drive 100 miles home after taking delivery.

Glacier and cardamom will be a great combo. How long until you take delivery?

Delivery is scheduled for March 12, 2012. Since I am ordering through the US Military car sales program while overseas and not through a dealer nailing down the small details is proving to be difficult!

I opted for the all weather mats as well but curious on the regular mats since I will probabaly only use the driver side most of the time.

Also important to vary revs/speed... no prolonged cruise control in Italy, no wait I meant to say initially.
