let's go over this again, you stated you called up parts dept and the guy said he doesnt know and would have to go to a new one and look... you then posted asking someone on here to do it... why?
before you go blasting me for not trying to help, do a search under my sn doc...

What else are car forums for if not to help others with issues like this? There are literally 100's of threads with questions like mine. Your answer is: "take care of it yourself". Thanks for nothing. Fortunately, Jake saw my post and helped me out(which ended up getting his company some business in the process). If everyone replied like you, I would still be spinning my wheels.

you said or implied or i understood as the counterman at the parts dept had to go outside instead you asked here for someone to check. if that is not the case then this is simply a miscommunication.

Just received the parts. They are not the correct item. What I need is the cover which attaches to the metal bar inside the LATCH point(it covers the hole when the LATCH points are not in use). It should only be in 2010/2011 Q7's as I never saw them in the 07-09 loaners I had. Just wanted others to know in case they saw this thread.

okay, let me try to field this one since you're having an issue...
the plastic latch surround in the passenger cabin or the plastic latch covers that are in the cargo area?
both of which came with the car for me, if you need the p/n i will get it for you just not sure which part exactly you are referring to.

If you can help Iconoclast, I would appreciate it.

Was yours an 07? I have only seen them on the 2010 model loaners I had. Maybe I was jipped from the factory. I can't find any mention of them in the parts sites I have searched. I wish they had a realoem.com site for Audi's. That is the best resource for finding parts on my M roadster since it has diagrams with pictures of all the parts.

go to genuineaudiparts.com
put in 2o1o Audi Q7
go to seats
go to second row
go to trim
#7 is your piece, i dont have p/n off-hand but that looks to be it. place the order with them you should have it in three to four days.
$9.90 each...

this link will most likely not work and just be the homepage:

Thanks for your efforts. I have been on that site before and never noticed any diagrams. I think part #7 above is actually what was sent to me. It looks like the plastic cup which sits behind the metal bar in the photo. I don't see the part I need on the diagram. I figured maybe they shipped as a unit, but it does not appear to be the case as what was sent did not include the covers.
Thanks again for your help. I guess the search goes on....
