In my Audi Q7, problem is only in central vents, is it issues with same motor or there are different motors for side and central vents?
What kind of problem are you having? No air thru the central vents? If so, that may be an actuator door which requires finding and replacing the motor which controls the doors.
i have a 2009 Q7 and the air blower stopped blowing. I replaced the motor and the resistor but still not working. I checked the fuze and it is not blown... this is driving me crazy! Anybody with the same issue?
I replaced the wires between the resistor and the motor without luck.

You know you need to scan the vehicle first to see what fault codes are being generated by the vehicle. Thats the starting point before replacing parts.
My Q7 is MY12 4.2tdi RHD in oz. Recently the blower motor has started to fail due to the high 35 degree temp we are getting this summer. What i find is when the car is hot (sitting in the sun all day), the blower wont work properly but when car is cold (in the morning or late afternoon), it seem to be working ok. Anyway, I brought a new motor from ebay 7L0820021L for RHD which looks exactly like factory fan motor with black blade on the photo. BTW, Audi wants to charge me $850 AUD for the motor so went online to find one for around $100. When parcel arrived I was surprise to find the fan blade was white and not like factory one. Quality of the white blade looked cheaper and upon further inspection, I found it was actually cracked in 3 spots during transit. So lesson here is make sure u get the one with black fan blade, white one are cheap and can crack.
Anyway, I still took apart the car just to make sure that the part number was correct and thought I might as well take blower off and give it a good clean and lube before putting it back again so at least the fan will work the next few days before I order another fan blower. With the help my maintenance guy at work, one thing lead to another an we found ourselves taking the factory blower apart to clean the brush contact area and giving everything a check over before putting it back. The motor looks in good shape so the only thing we can see is the contact areas was a little uneven which we fixed up and all seem to be working fine now. I still order a new fan blower just in case if it fails. TBH, the amount of time wasted in fixing the motor is too time consuming so it is best to buy a new fan.
Cracked white fan blade
Pulling it apart was quite easy with right tool. After u take out the glove box, u need to pull the bottom trim piece under the glove box down (there is 3 clip that hold it up). Then u can undo the hex nut that hold the blower in place.
Brush looks ok but contact area looked a bit rough which could have caused the fan motor to fail when it is too hot
One of the posts above recommended that we first remove the old blower motor in order to get the correct part # from the old motor so we can order the correct new motor.
Did most of yous guys do this?
Or did you just order one compatible with the Q7 corresponding to your year?
