Default possible solution for brake dust...

I have a idea, based upon a system some high end power tools have such as "Festool" from Germany, which uses an extractor to take the dust, wet or dry, away whilst the tool is being used. It has a 99.9% efficency rate. Attached to the brake calliper area, the extractor starts up when the brakes are applied, drawing the brake dust away from the alloy wheels to a serviceable container. Just an idea.

Default If you have some DIY skills, I would go with different brake pads. My allroad had this.......

very same problem as our Q7 does. I went with some EBC dustless pads and now I can go a week and still barely see brake dust. I will be doing this myself when my front pads go. I personally would not be feel comfortable attaching anything like this. It seem to be much more of a process than just changing out pads. Just an idea.

I installed the EBC Green in my old Mercedes ML and reduced the brake dust but also noticed less pedal feel and height. What is your opinion of the EBC in the Allroad?

Interesting. A here and now solution would be ceramic pads, but I can't find any for the Q7.

Default Try EBC dustless in your search

Searching the EU shows only green stuff recommended for Q7.

<a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/usaautomotive%20online.html">search results selection for US</a>

Below is a US distributer<ul><li><a href="http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?D=ebc+brakes&amp;Ntt=ebc+brakes&amp;Dx=mode+match allpartial&amp;Ntk=Main&amp;Ntx=mode+matchallparti al&amp;N=1574+4294966857+9619&amp;Nty=1">Auto Parts Warehouse</a></li></ul>
