Default Q7 -08 Auxiliary Heating Control module location HELP needed

Hi

Who could tell me where is this auxiliary heating control module located in Q7?

I believe I have there 4F0 909 509 and I don't know where that is located in my car..

Please throw me some ideas.....

I assume that you have a TDi and are located in Europe since the Webasto Thermotop Aux Heater option was only installed on fleet diesels in some European markets. From the attached link, it appears the heater is right behind the left wheel.

That documentation is just related to the upgrade to manual control of the auxiliary heater.

The factory installed heater is a Webasto unit and is controlled automatically based on air temperature and coolant temp. It can be used as a cabin heater controlled from the climate control panel and the MMI if this has been enabled.

The upgrade can be to allow remote control of the heater to pre-heat the cabin and engine if required.

I am not sure about the location of the factory control module - I have never had to find one!

Yes - but if you look at the instructions, it has you remove the original Webasto Aux heater to add the manual control wiring - the instructions tell you to remove left front wheel and liner and to do so... hence my deduction of the heater location.

Documentation for later Q7 models refer to the location as under the right front foot well.
