I just joined the forum after lurking for a bit and wanted to ask about an issue with my Audi Q7 Premium Plus. The back of the driver's seat is coming off from the top (see photo attached). Has anyone experienced this and what is the best way to fix it? Glue seems to be a good shout but I want to make sure I can get this done and dusted without worrying about damages of any sort.
Hard plastic part of the back of the seat coming off 2nd photo of it: it goes back if you press it hard enough but doesn't stay there
Get yourself some jb weld plastic epoxy. Spread it on the plastic piece that runs the width of the back of the seat. Then tape the seats as tight as you can. I let mine cure for 6 hours, however the package says it cures in 15 minutes. This will permanently fix the seat back from coming off.
I tried industrial strength velcro and vhb double sided foam tape. Both worked for a little while. But the heat from the inside of the vehicle eventually caused the adhesive to fail.

Well, well I bought the JB Weld Epoxy and have applied it and it seems to stick really well. Will update in around 6 hours to see how well it is stuck on!
