Default Q7 Camping = Thule

Hi everyone! Getting ready for a quick camping trip in the central coast and gearing up all the Thule items!

My latest item is the Helium 971 which fits perfectly on the 2” hitch. More pictures to come once all is loaded!

You look like you are going to be dressed up like a vehicle out of the Road Warrior movies.

Which cargo box is that? I just ordered my kit this week and can't wait to get it setup.

Looks great!

This may have been posted already, but can you elaborate on the base carrier bares - where did you get them? The US-based retailers don't seem to sell them, and that's exactly the set up I'd like to get.

I just ordered a set from rackattack.com. With the vlaue of the $$, there was only a slight difference in cost vs roofrackshop.uk when you factor in shipping. I believe the entire setup is about $320.

Hi there, just to recap on the questions:

Roof Rack was purchased from roofrackshop.co.uk (UK etailer) about two years ago. I too read on these boards as these were highly recomended. Very minimal noise if any and a very snug fit. Also, not as tall as the OEM versions and less expensive.

The cargo box I am using is the Thule 686 Atlantis 1600. I originally thought this box would be too small but once up there it looks great. Also it does not distract the shark fin signal. I placed an Audi Decal on the lower plack panel.

I should have this road warior loaded by tomorrow night more pics. to come.
