Default Tires are probably the most important part of a vehicle. It's amazing how.......

a vehicle transform on different tires. I'm glad all worked out.

What type of tires did you end up going with? Size?

Default General Grabber AT2 in 255/55/18 from Tire Rack. I already had 18" AT Italia wheels...

They are H-rated and handle pretty well. We have a long trip to the Jersey shore coming up and I'll be putting the 20" tires back on for that.

So true. I've been using winter tires for years and can't imagine driving in winter without them.

Looks like you have TPMS sensors on your AT Italias. Also from Tire Rack?

Nice, you already have the tow hook installed. Hopefully you don't have to use it!

Default Hopefully not, but just in case the wife is at the beach with the kids and gets stuck.

When we learned that the 20" tires did not work in sand, I was there to dig out the wheels and push to get the Q7 moving again. If my wife is with the kids and gets stuck and calls for a tow, I can't imagine a tow truck driver carefully removing the plastic grill with the delicate little tabs that hold it on. I can imagine the tow truck driver wrapping the tow hook around an aluminum suspension arm that should not be in the middle of a 5000 pound tow. So, I took a Rotozip to the grill and installed the tow hook.

Yes, I bought a winter tire & wheel package and it included OEM TPMS sensors.
