My wife and I have had our '09 Q7 3.6L Premium for about 9 months now, it has about 95k on it. Right from the get go there was a rattle in the sunroof, it has not gone away and if anything has gotten worse and much more annoying. I've sat in the mid row listening and feeling around while my wife drives to try and locate the source, but the rattle or knocking sound can't be nailed down to one particular spot, seems to originate from all over the sunroof. Which leads me to my post, what are other people's experiences with ride quality in their Q7's? It feels like every tiny bump in the pavement is noticeable, back seats shake around, dashboard creaks. I would have thought a vehicle weighing as much as a Q7 would float on a cloud. Our particular car does not have anything fancy like are suspension, and it is not the S-Line package. Stock 18" rims and rubber.

I have the adjustable suspension and leave in sport all the time so a little more stiff but no rattles other then the cover for the tray in the back. What I did was put some velcro on and rattle stopped!

I fixed my sunroof rattle by putting the audi white sunroof lubricant on the rubber seals around the perimeter of the frame. G-052-141-A2 is the part number. If you ask for it at the dealer they probably won't have it because they probably don't use it. When I asked my dealer to lubricate the sunroof, they cleaned it and lubed it with what looked like axle bearing grease, golden color. When I got the right stuff, it's graphite grease, black color. Within a month of them "fixing" it, it started rattling. The black plastic squeaks on the rubber seals.
