Our 08 X5 is coming off lease this year and we're very interested in the Q7 TDI. I was wondering if anyone is getting any decent deals out there. In addition, I've heard the wait can be 3-5 months depending on dealer allocation. Is that generally true? I'm in the Northwest. Thx.

been quoted about $2K off msrp without any negotiation. They were in short supply but Im starting to see more and more in dealers inventory lately.

I picked up my Q7 TDI (also in the northwest) back in November off the lot, no waiting. They had two at the time....so possibly before all the rush. I got it under the Supplier? Program so it was roughly $56k for a Premium Plus.

Picked up a Premium Plus Q7 TDI in So Cal last week. $750 off sticker but had 2,750 miles as it was wrapped and used for showcar at the Olympics in Vacouver. This was the only TDi in CA at the time. Waiting list and NO deals in So Cal here.

I am in the Boston area...
I ordered my Q7 TDI in early January. Was told 3 months wait. I got $1000 over invoice. It's what I offered them and they took it. Very pleasureable buying experience - I REALLY hate buying cars - the salesmen usually just make me sick.
I checked back on March 8th to see if it was on the boat yet and they said: "We had to get a special allocation for you! They are being
very stingy with the TDI releases." So that delayed it. Apparently they could not just order it and had to use one of their allocations...
As recent as March 18th, they told me it was still mid-April. Just left a message with them to find out an update.

I ordered mine on March 3rd; and, yes, they had to get a special allocation, too.
