there is however i would purchase the correct size/tire to begin with instead of adjusting and calibrating other tires to work on the car.

Three questions:

1) I am told that you MUST replace all 4 tires at same time due to potential problems with differential. Is this true?

2) Several people have recommended the Conti's.
The car is my wife's toy and does not get on a track. Priorities are safety, quiet and lifespan. I welcome any recommendations.

3) Is the tire life expectancy on this vehicle going to be 12k?

Thanks in advance,

Did you get any answers? I just bought a 2013 Q7 Sline and these Dunlop tires are killing my ears! I didn't think it was possible for tire to have a drone like and exhaust... but these tires get loud and even louder at times. I'm thinking of swapping them out ASAP with some Nitto Invo's... any recommendations?

Has anyone expereienced the Pirelli P Zeros? On Tirerack, they are listed as "new OE tire."

If so, how do they compare to the Dunlops and/or Contis?

I've been running the Michelin Latitude Sport on my 21's. by far the best tyre overall, and they last longer than the Pirelli's.

The grip is amazing, makes this truck handle similarly as a sports saloon.. You'll be really happy with these, I can promise you that.

Using the same Michelin tires with the same rims--

Great grip, ride, quiet.... Absolutely no complaints!

How many miles are on the Michelins? Good to know about this tire as an option. Maybe my uncle who works at Michelin HQ can hook me up haha.

My car is at the shop getting the rims powder coated Gunmetal and then wrapped in Vredestien SUV Sessanta's. I ordered the tires online from GroupA (no affiliation)and they arrived in 4 days to my door (best price by far!).

I will post pics and review once i get them and put a few miles on them.

At nearly $500 a pop, the michelins are dear for a tire with a 220 tread rating. But they are probably the best out there.

There's usually a 1 size drop in profile. The 20 is a 45 series, the the 21 drops 2 sizes down to 35 series.

Seems like you should he able to use a 21 inch tire that's 40 series, and with the 20 @ 45 and have the same ride height.

It isn't really about ride height as much as revolutions per mile. If you don't stay within a pretty small range, your speedometer, odometer, and navigation dead reckoning will all be thrown off.

The difference will be less than 4%. 60mph will actually be 62.2mph. That kind of error might as well be introduced by the tire wear. Quarter of an inch tire wear would give half of that difference. None issue issue. In terms of navigation, so what if your nav recalculates your position when you come out of a tunnel.
