I tried my impact wrench, but maybe its not strong enough. It is a cheapie that came with my air compressor.

Any suggestions on how to get the room to use a cheater bar?
No problem on the fronts, but the rear, I have no room.

once these bolts finally come out, are they re-used? I remember reading somewhere on this site that due to the high torque, these bolts should be replaced when removed????

That may be true, but I re-used the bolts. I did my rotors about 5 years ago and things are still good.

Just an update. Gave it another try this weekend after using PB Blaster on them for about a week.
After a little creative thinking and a lot of elbow grease, I got the caliper bolts off and rotors changed.
Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Excellent. I don't know how many times I've walked away from being stuck wrenching, only to pick it up hours or days later and have things work as originally planned.

Default Having same issue

'11 q7 tdi, having same issue with bolts, we greased it and took our air tools to it and everything. Anyone have any other suggestions. We're not going to pay thousands of dollars for something that costs less than 250.00 to fix....
