My dealer informs me there is not a rear seat DVD option in the Q7. I couldn't believe! How come? In Peugeot 406 is standard for the top version...
Anyway, does anyone know whether Audi is planning to incorporate such an item shortly?
Otherwise I will not order one.
Thanks.

The dealership I bought my Q7 from had the work contracted out to a local installer. The dealer ordered a new set of headrests and gave them to the installer who when then added the TVs. Once the headrests are completed the dealer will do all the wiring. They are supposed to be complete sometime next week. I will post pics then.

Audi rear dvd quality is not good as per dealer. Only advantage would be if there is connection to the car audio system, will have to see when it comes out in Jan, I will decide then between audi & vizualogic 1250, with the vmod (video media on demand) that is coming out first quarter of 2007.

Could someone who does not have the climate control and does have the non-smoking pack , maybe post a photo and/or sizes of the storage tray in the rear of the centre armrest console? It seems like a good place to locate a rear dvd player, use the 12v sockets for power and put 2 screens in the rear of the front headrests. That would be good for a portable/removal version or maybe a fixed install. I'm just trying to weigh up the options before I sign on the dotted line. Many thanks

I've seen it on Q7s here in Ireland where there is just a storage tray (looks a bit like something has been left out rather than a design point) under the 12v sockets.
