replacing the key fob
The keys to my 2011 Q7 both seem to be dying. Anyone know what its going to cost per key to replace the battery? Or do they have to replace the entire key?

You can have your local dealer change the batteries for you and it shouldn't be much more than $5.00 per key, or you can save a couple of dollars and do it yourself. The batteries are lithium button cells which can be found at most grocery stores. The generic part number if you choose to go to the store and do it your self is CR2032. Honestly, if it isn't too far I would just go to the dealer and have them do it for you, I am sure you have some questions for them anyway.

As discussed below, you can do it yourself with batteries from grocery store or even Radio Shack. The only issue I came across when I replaced them in my 2010 is that they would not lock or unlock and all you'll need to do is put the key into the ignition and start the car and the remote worked just fine after that.

I was hoping it wasnt much. Im going to the dealer tomorrow to have them "repair" for the 3rd time my headlights and the flickering I experience so Ill have them do it.
Just was concerned it wasnt something where the entire key needed to be replaced.
thanks guys
Now hopefully they can figure out my headlights.
$12 a key was what they quoted me.
thanks for the help

Completely overpriced. As said before- buy them at a local store or even better off Ebay for less than $1 each. All you need is a coin to open the lid and swap the battery out. Mine die about 1x year.
