Rubberized cargo mat 5 versus 7 seat - diff?
maybe a stupid question, but since the accessories sites only show the 5 seat and not the 7, I'm not sure...

I have the seven seat, but usually keep the third row flat.
If I get the 7 seat, does that not cover the third row when flat? so I should get the 5 seat? or does it has some "functionality" to allow the third row to be used with the mat?
(I was sorta assuming that the 7 seat would be sized similar to the trunk mat??)

I have the 7 seat mat
It only covers the very back cargo area, leaving the 3rd row seats uncovered so that you can use them.
I too, do not use the 3rd row seats often, if ever, so I kind of wish I bought the mat for the 5 seater, so that it would protect the down 3rd row.

I am kind of partial to this one

I bought the 5 and love it...
Like Chitown Q7 stated it is rigid, so it doesn't roll up on its own, but flexible enough that if you're out and need to use the third row you can easily roll it up for temporary storage in the back. The mat is shipped rolled up. I recommend the 5 seat.

i'll sell you mine...
brand new in original packaging. my parents bought it for me as a birthday gift, but i needed the 5 seat and they bought me the 7 seat instead and i couldn't return it to clair parts because it was past 30 days. let me know if you'd be interested since it's just sitting at my house.
