I normally pull my Q7 right into the garage when I get home. Today I idled for several minutes just outside the garage door as I was talking on the Bluetooth. After I pulled in I noticed 2 wet spots in the driveway, that ran down toward the street. Figured it was A/C condensation since it was in the high 90s today.
Took a closer look and noticed a lump of waxy substance in the middle of the wet spots. I then looked on the garage floor and saw several waxy drip spots. Looks just like dripped wax from a burning candle.
Any idea what this would be? It has been very hot here for the last few days, and this might be associated, as I've had the Q since October and it just started.
I scooped some up and saved it on a piece of paper to show the service department, if necessary.
It seems to be connected to A/C drip, but does that make any sense? Does Audi use some sort of wax in the underside frame area?
Strange.....

i had this exact thought when i found this one day... it only happend once, never again. took in to the dealer they had no clue, found nothing and said must've been another car. never gave it any thought until i just read your post and i remembered thinking the exact same thing about it resembling wax from a burning candle.

Stopped in and chatted with the service department. They said no worries--Audi sprays the undercarriage with paraffin to protect against corrosion. The extreme heat over the past few days just caused it to melt and run off in places.
