STRONGLY Considering Q7 Lease, but I have 4 kids all in car seats... HELP!
#31
I purchased the Q7 for my wife and she had the same issues with the rear seats so I took the Q7 and we purchased an Acadia Denali for her. She loves it because its a mid-size suv but has the captains chairs for easy access to the back. It does feel roomier than the Q7 for hauling kids.

I know it's been a long time since I started this thread, but after deciding to go with a GL 450 for the last 2 years, I FINALLY got into a 2014 Q7 Prestige
And I freaking love it!!
The Benz was amazing too, but this Q7 is everything I expected in an Audi.
The car seat situation is tight, but now that 2 of our 4 kids are in boosters, we were able to make it work.
Went with that dark gray color.
Payments are only $789 for 36 months for a car with a $63K+ sticker. I thought it would be around $850 based on the $950 it would have costed me to lease a new GL. So when the salesman came back at me with 789, I was like what? lol Needless to say the shock prevented me from haggling on a few dollars. I got them to cover the d-bag disposition fee though :P
I posted a couple of pics in the "my garage" section of this forum.
Hope you like.
And thank you for all the replies!

dont do it...i have two in car seats and it is already hard. I want to shoot myself for not getting something bigger. A friend of mine also just got a Q7 with three kids and only one in a car seat and she says the third row is a joke.

With a car so new, expect to take a hit. The first two years or so will garner the greatest depreciation. If you don't want to try and sell it yourself, try taking it to a CarMax. Reports indicate they usually offer more than an Audi dealer on an outright sale. Though don't expect to get what a private sale can achieve - all dealers want to make a profit reselling a used car.

I already have it for a month now. Getting in and out of the 3rd row is a bit of a pain as compared to the GL450 because the seats only slide forward instead of flipping up. But as far as the room is concerned, it's just as roomy as the Benz 3rd row.

We have two car seats in the second row, too. If you have the tow package, you might consider installing one of these Hitch Steps:
My daughter loves ours and uses it get into the third row seat from the trunk. (We usually have one seat up/one down in the rear row).
Plus it makes it really easy to spot your Q7 from behind!
