Default sunroof options

I am trying to decide whether to order my q7 with or without the sunroof.
I am a bit scared about what i have read about the shade still allowing way too much light and heat through.

Is there any other options/modifications that allow the sunroom, but have a more substantial shade for it?

Default Roll down windows and turn AC on.

Do you live in Death Valley?

I wouldn't worry about it that much if you like extra light in the interior. If you don't really care that much, save yourself $1000.

I was just hoping that there was a different sliding cover available than the mesh one---it seems to allow too much light/heat in. Wonder why they went with mesh cover?

Probably because most of us don't worry that much about it.

Depends on where you live.....I deleted the sunroof to avoid the Texas sun, and I like the result.

Default Get the sunroof! I have the panorama roof and it's not that bad even here in the southern US sun.

You just need to close the shade when you park in the sun.

I am with you 100%! Plus I opted for other options with that $$ savings.
