Could folks post the OEM Tire sizes and manufacturers. I've seen mostly Continentals around the TriState NY area. HATE THEM. Really was hoping for Pirelli Scorpians, or Bridgestones. May have to do an immediate swap and eat part of the cost if I get Dunlops or Contis. Did this with my S4.

I have 20" Goodyear on my 3.6 Prem. Found that if I even choose to have 18", the same GoodYear would be standard tires. After reading some reports about bad tires, went to TireRack.com and
found that the GoodYear tires AUDI is using has SO BAD rating noone wants to take them. Very poor rating and they are expensive. This is a link: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+LS-2&vehicleSearch=true&partnum=745HR0ELS2XL& amp;fromCompare1=yes&place=8&speed_rating= H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_ rating=W&speed_rating=Y&minSpeedRating=H

And my question is, why are the shoulders bald at 4,100 miles? These things are junk as far as I can tell. Way too soft.
I know Quattro is tough on tires but I never saw such a thing on our 2001 allroad and the Yokos on my 2007 S8 are wearing just fine thank you very much.
I have a set of Generals, VERY highly rated at Tire Rack, that I'm hoping to have installed on the Q this week.

My car has 255/55r18 and yesterday I changed the factory fit Conti's for Pirelli P-Zero Rosso high load tyres. Any tyre you fit on this family of cars have to be high load rated and speed rated to Y.
Here in the UK I found only four suitable brands, Brigestone, Pirelli, Conti and Michelin. I didn't much want the Conti which have not worn well. The Michelin, although advertised locally, was not yet available, so the choice was between the Bridgestone and Pirelli. I have had good experience with P-Zero on a Jaguar although I think the compound is fairly sticky so might again not last acceptably long on the Q7. At least the geometry should be right for this set, having had a four wheel alignment last week.
