Default They need to do something with back-up lights

So this morning got behind a truck who was stopped and tried to back up and get over. The car directly behind me was unable to see my back-up lights because they are so low down on the rear.

Finally after waving for him to back up was it clear to him that I was backing up

The back-up lights are USELESS>>>>>>

Default Yes and no...the nice thing about their location is that if you have the back up camera

you can actually see better at night because the path is better lighted.

Default Well you could have had a strobe light in the middle of the tailgate and there's no guarantee he/she

would have responded. I commute in traffic every day and I'm never surprised by the amount of clueless people out there that have no idea what's taking place beyond the ends of their hood.

It might be the placement of the back-up lights, but I'm thinking you were simply in front of another clueless dolt.

Default That's a good time to put on your flashers

and back up real slow - they'll get the idea.

Default I would love to be able to close the tailgate remotely...

so times like that I could open it and shout "backing up!"
